Every child deserves a healthy smile – including children with physical, developmental, sensory, behavioural or medical conditions that make routine dental care more challenging. Children with special healthcare needs often have a higher risk of dental problems, yet may find ordinary dental visits overwhelming.
We adapt every part of the visit to the child: extra time, a calm environment, gradual familiarisation, communication suited to the child’s understanding, and close coordination with parents and caregivers. Where in-chair treatment is not possible, options such as nitrous oxide sedation or treatment under general anesthesia allow complete care to be delivered safely and kindly.
Children with conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, ADHD, sensory sensitivities or medical complexities – and any child who needs extra patience, time and understanding at the dentist.
